We have had a really nice evening. When Darren got home from work, we all went outside to play and a couple of the neighborhood kids came over and joined us. Just as we were saying goodbye to the kids and coming inside, our DHS representative pulled up. She came in and we sat down and talked. She had some questions for us and we had some for her. She was very friendly and made things easy for us. Then she walked through the house and checked things out. She said that everything looked good and she would get our name to the lady in charge of scheduling the classes. She encouraged us that things would work out and that we would have another child in the future. She warned us about the problems that we might face. She wanted to make sure that we were preprared for the problems that would face a child coming out of foster care into an adoptive home.
