Gavin and I have been working together in the Kitchen for a while now. He loves to make bread with me.
We started when he was just learning to walk. In the picture on the right you see his first time to make bread. We were making my Grandma's zuccinni bread recipe. He loved helping me dump in the sugar and other ingredients. Since then we have made other things together including more zuccinni bread.
More recently, we have been making homemade biscuits. He loves to sift the flour, use the pastry cutter to mix in shortening, knead the dough, roll the dough, and finally cut out the biscuits.
He is a great helper! The only problem is that we both end up a little messy!!! But isn't that the best
part of all.
I can remember helping my mom and my grandma cook when I was little. I hope that Gavin looks back on these memories and enjoys them as much as I enjoy the memories of cooking with my family.
