Sane? Who is Sane?

I have been searching for something to blog about for the past several days and it suddenly came to me in an email from Brandi. Insanity!
Okay so, we all have a little bit inside of us. You are willing to admit to it aren't you?
Lately, it seems that there has been a lot of it going around. Darren and I are definitely experiencing it as we try to balance the adoption process, Gavin's needs, our needs, church obligations, work (for Darren), therapy (me and Gavin), doctor's visits (just take a guess), and school (Darren and Gavin).
And while there are some things that we can postpone or try to slow down, many of these seem to have a life of their own. It was only a month ago or so that we were cruising along just fine. We had a lot to do, but we also had time to do it. Now it seems as if time is against us, especially for Darren.
Let's take just a second to look at all he really does. He works 40 hours a week at a job that is currently undergoing changes (high stress even if he won't admit it). He is back in college working towards his bachelor's degree, so he has to keep up with an insane amount of reading and then there are the PAPERS! Okay, but he isn't done yet...When he walks in the door, he changes out of his work clothes and immediately plays with Gavin (wrestling and riding bikes and playing games). We sit down and eat supper together as a family. Then he spends more time with Gavin until we get him ready for bed. He reads to Gavin and prays with him. Then when he walks out of Gavin's room, he feeds the dogs. After he feeds the dogs, he crashes on the couch and he and I talk for a little while. Then he makes an attempt at studying or writing his papers. Now we haven't mentioned the time he spends when we have friends over or when there is yard work to be done. We also haven't mentioned the paperwork that he is trying to get done for the adoption. So, are you tired yet?
Darren is, but he keeps going. He strives to put God and family first, but sometimes forgets to take care of himself. So this blog is for him.
Thank you for all you do Darren! We do notice.
I also want you to know that it is time Darren did something special just for him. He knows what I am talking about. I am behind you 100% Dare!

Well, if I could blush, I would. The call center is so warm today that you couldn't tell my face was blushing or just hot. Great post. Thank you. (I'm tempted to brush off the recognition, but I won't) It means a lot. Are you really behing me 100% behind me in what I'm thinking about? You know I'll start looking more closely.

Yes, I really am behind you 100%, but I don't want you to rush things. Keep praying until you are confident of God's answer.

I'm cluless as to what you're 'looking at' but I say go for it bro. You definately deserve it. Of course it helps to have a good wife behind you keeping you straight.
    :)
