Today is a Good Day to Rake Leaves

Today, we raked leaves. Hey why not it was a nice crisp fall morning perfect for leaping into leaves. If you want to leap though...you have to rake. So, I got out my big rake and the kids got their little rakes and we raked the driveway and then Ms. Brandi's yard. Gavin especially got into raking and would get very upset if anyway tried to take the leaves out of the pile he was raking up.

All in all it was a great way to spend the morning.

Yesterday was a different story...you see yesterday I woke up in the sleep study room and sat there until I saw the doctor at 12:30. Talk about trying your patience. First they hooked up buttons to me, then microphones, then sensors, then straps, and finally a pulse-ox on my finger to make sure I still had oxygen in my blood. Let me tell you that was the most trouble I have ever gone through just to get ready go to sleep!

The bottom line is...I can't sleep. I have insomnia. They think some wires may also be crossed in my brain. They noticed it never stopped thinking! I could have told them that. I have known it for years. Anyway, for the short-term they prescribed sleeping pills. But I get to go through an EEG next. Remember all Gavin's wires? Now it is mommy's turn. It seems the more we dig for answers the more questions we uncover.

The sleep medicine is helping. I did sleep last night. Did my brain ever take a break? I don't know that is a question for another day.

To all those out there who have been praying...THANK YOU! Please don't stop.
