"I'm just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe."-- Jango Fett
It seems like a long time ago that I had the ability to keep my blog fresh with fun and exciting things about the lives of Heather the hilarious, Darren the Dashing, and Gavin the Gifted. Being a supervisor at the Call Center has been making my days busy. When I get home, the last thing I want to do is spend some more time in front of a computer screen. I still like what I'm doing, but where's my life? I'm on a two week rotating schedule that ranges from a 7-4 shift to 11-8. It's hard to keep my head on straight.
Remember this guy? No, not the cute blonde guy. The weird looking one with the silly grin.
Yeah, that be me. I'm still around. I'm glad Gavin's in the picture. It makes me look half way better. Now, let me talk about Gavin. He is a trooper. He's handling daddy's weird schedule like the big boy he is. He eagerly awaits for the sound of my blue car pulling up into the driveway. He listens for the ring of mommie's phone. He comes and meets me at the door. It's usually quickly followed by a head-butt to the stomach. (He don't mean to. He comes around the corner so fast to give me a hug that he naturally can't stop. He gets his speed from me). As soon as I get my breath back, he starts chattering away the way only Gavin can about his day. I use the word chattering because that's what I hear. I just hears sounds. To an un-trained ear, it may be nonesense, but when your around Gavin for a length of time, you can understand almost everything he says. (well, it takes several trips to the Kamino system to get the language down pat). We would spend the rest of the time just running around and doing everything I usually do in a normal evening crammed into half an hour. He's a whirlwind. He's also enjoying waking up with daddy still being home. He would look up from his bed, smile, and say 'hi daddie'. It's so hard to go to work with that boy pulling on my heart strings. Next week he's going have to adjust to a new schedule. 7-4. (I'm thrilled)
Like I said Gavin is doing pretty good. He's being spoiled, but nothing new about that. Heather is doing pretty good. Her blood seems to be normal. It's no longer green. I doubt that. I'm sure she and Marvin have somehow designed a way to make her blood appear to be the normal color. I will always know the truth. I haven't heard from Marvin in a while. He may have to come out of hiding. (note to normal blog readers: Marvin helped Heather with plots to rule the world while we were at UCA. Please return to your drink. It's Jedi business.) That's a different story. Her meds seem to be doing their job. I hope so. I think it will do me good to invest some stock with some of the drug companies. I think she's up to taking at least 5 different pills a day. Her health seems to be doing good. That's always good. Heather has had another brilliant idea for our house. We've talked about painting the living room and hall for ages. Last weekend we finally did something about it. He painted the entry-way and hallway. The color? Spiced Pumpkin. (Don't you think it's appropriate to use pumpkin color in October?) Heather didn't want to keep things simple. We used washcloths and rubbed the paint on the walls in small circles. (If you're familiar with the Karate Kid movies, wax on and wax off). All day Sunday, we rubbed paint in small circles. It looks really cool. Heather did a wonderful job with her idea. However, I'm not suggesting we do that type of painting technique again. Our shoulders and arms hurt afterwards. I'll see about having Heather take a picture so we can post on the blog. We're trying to get the adoption process under way. We did our initial background checks. We're just waiting for the lady to contact us back. We're excited about this. I've got to get back to work. I have busy work to make it look like I'm trying to work. You all be good. and I'll be back. (Thank you Heather for filling in the gaps when I couldn't)

I am glad you are back at the helm of this ship, but watch out you never know when I may take control again!
Love ya!
