"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." -- Obi-Wan
(so the title has nothing to do with my post. Sue me. I am not referring to any person. I just thought it would make an interesting title. Anything else is coincidence.)
Did you know monkey's wear clothes? Did you know Polar Bears can survive outside during a hot August day? Did you know that when guys are left alone they are just that: ALONE? Did you know 3 people can share 1 hotel room that has 2 beds? Did you know Pixie dust is the legal angel dust? Did you know a monkey can play guitar? Did you know a Braves' fan is uncomfortable in a Cardnial's store? Did you know that 2 gallons of popcorn is a lot of popcorn? Did you know that the sound you heard was a bed and a mirror breaking? Did you know people can lose weight when you talk? Did you know Missouri is just as hot as Arkansas? Did you know that I know how to say the phrase 'did you know' several times in a paragraph? Did you know that this will drive sane folks crazy? Did you know I don't know any sane people. Did you know your popcorn is being burnt? Did you know lightspeed is faster than dark speed? Did you know that today is the day you're reading this blog? Did you know little green men are making me write this blog? Did you know that little green men get angry when you sit on one? Do you think I'll ever end?.....
Heather the Hilarious, Brandi the Bold, and Becky the Bouncy (tempted to use burp in honor of Gavin) set out for another world-wind adventure last weekend. With bags packed and goodbyes said to the guys and the dogs, they trekked north towards _ _ _ _ _ _ _. (darn blogger. It turned that word into blanks. How did that happened?) They spent 2 nights at _ _ _ _ _ _ _. (There it goes again. I'll have to describe where they went. Blogger won't let me use the name.) How to describe where they went? Well, it's north of Little Rock. It's not in Arkansas. This place is a surrounded by mountains and lakes. It has shopping and shows. It has a lot of shopping and a lot of shows. Hwy 76 is always full of traffic. This area is famous for a silver dollar and a shepherd on the hills. I don't know if you 'believe it or not' but I've been to this city a lot of times. I even took a senior trip with five others to this location. If you find yourself at a field that springs, than you've gone to far. If you've been to this city, you would know what I'm talking about. For those that are not sure of the area, I'll see about tricking blogger by spelling it out. B R A N S O N It's sad. I've spent so much time goofing off that I've forgotten what I was actually going to write. Oh bother.
Well Heather, Brandi, and Becky went to Branson last weekend. They left me, Gavin, Cinder, Jaida, Tootsie, and Lexie. Cinder and Jaida are self-sufficient. They take care of themselves. Tootsie is just mind over matter. (oh yeah, the fish as well). Gavin loved taken care of Lexie. (Lexie is Brandi's dog). That boy can wake up fast in the mornings and after naps if he knew I was going next door to let Lexie out. He would get up, find his shoes, and beat me to the door. Saturday was a nice day. We spent a lot of time outside with Lexie. Gavin would sit down and Lexie would be all over her. Gavin would just squeal and giggle.
Heather and Becky introduced Brandi to the wonders of Branson. They shopped and shopped and shopped. Every once in a while they would come up for air and head back down. That's how Gavin got his monkey that plays the guitar. That's how I got some new shirts (and socks). That's how we got a 2 gallon bucket of popcorn.
I really don't have much more to say. There have been some funny stories told, but it's been a few days since I started this post. Things like work get in the way. I'm sure my next post will be fun. It should involve Gavin's party. |
Who came up for air. We only stopped to refuel.
