| Update on my Job |
The end of July came and went. The threat of possible cuts at the call center where I work went away. I predict I'm going to get very busy and very crazy before too long. The call center has confirmed 4 contracts that will be starting soon. Those contracts are for outsource calls from Alabama Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tennessee Blue Cross Blue Shield, a portion of the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Kansas/Missouri Blue Cross Blue Shield. Three of these plan to have a go live date (calls to come in) on Oct 1. Training for each contract could take 4-6 weeks. Yeah, it's going to get nuts. What will be even more nuttier is if we get a contract that is from a company that wants to do business. It's a third party administrator (TPA) that does customer service for different states prescription drug plans. They want 540 full time employees. The call center is equipped to handle 504. Two hundred of those seats will be used for the contracts stated above. How is that possible? I'm not good at math, but that seems like it doesn't add up. Let me put this way. I've all ready voluteered to bring my sledge hammer to knock down some walls. Expansion. Want an ironic twist this brings about. We go from laying people off to talks about expanding our building.
Hope everyone is okay and have a great day. |

Life can spin on a dime in a New York Minute. Wow! Two cliches (spelling?) in one sentence.
Hope you've gotten your rest...sounds like your gonna be busy.
