Happy Anniversary!!!
This day is fragile - soon it will end
And once it has vanished, it will not come again
So let us love with a love pure and strong
Before this day is gone

This day is fleeting when it slips away
Not all our money can buy back this day
So let us pray that we might be a friend
Before this day is gone

This day were given is golden
Let us show love
This day is ours for one moment
Let us sow love

This day is frail - it will pass by
So before its too late to recapture the time
Let us share love, let us share God
Before this day is gone.

It seems like the other day I listened to this song being played during our reception. Eight years ago I promised my heart away and trusting MY Bride to keep it safe. We've had a lot of storms and a lot of sunny skies. If I were too predict what lies ahead, I would forecast days spent together. I can't say when we'll have good days or the bad. I just know whatever happens we will be together. I can walk safely because my Bride still is holding on to my heart. She has not let me down, nor will she ever.

When I proposed to Heather that one April day, I told Heather life was a great adventure. As we were looking out across the scene before us, I told Heather that my greatest adventure would be the one God will let me have with her. Without me missing a beat, I asked her to share life's adventure and marry me. I have proof that she didn't throw me off that mountain. How adventurous our lives became! From living with family to having our own family, we both can share stories that would make you hurt from the laughter (and cry a river for the sorrows).

I enjoy being married to my bride, my Angel-face, my Heather. I look forward to the next several years as we watch Gavin grow. I don't mind my adventure. Heather, if you had to do it again, would you still join me on life's greatest adventure?

Always and Forever
Your Prince, Your Teddy-bear, Your DARE.

I guess since you posted such a sweet, sappy, sentimental post I am supposed to say something like...YES! YES! YES! Kinda like that day on the mountain. While my youthfull energy may have faded and we may have found a few gray hairs (not on my head!), I would still say Yes. Not with shouts or whispered hope, but with confidence. The storms have come and gone, but through trusting in God and allowing Him to control our adventure...we have prevailed. I would not have chosen some of the roads we have taken, but I would not go down any road without you. Thank you for sharing this time with me.

I do love you. I will continue to love you.
