-- "Impressive. Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you well." -- Darth Vader
I'm going to take this moment to brag about my little bud, Gavin. If anyone knows him (which is everyone that reads this post), they know Gavin is very smart and bright. Heck, one look at him will tell you he's always thinking something behind those soft brown eyes. It's a joy for me to have people who are not in his everyday life comment on how bright he is. (That makes me wonder. Does he not look bright? Or did they take one look at me... JK). A week ago Gavin started therapy for speech and developmental. The therapists have gotten a chance to get to know Gavin, and they are now working with him. I can all ready see a difference. I hear more words and sounds now. He has his words, but he doesn't use them. Guess what? He's talking with the therapists. He gets home and nothing. Anyway, on Wednesday, the Developmental Therapist came out and talked to Heather. She was smiling really big. What was her comment? She said Gavin was so smart that he pulled the wool over her eyes. She underestimated Gavin, and she wouldn't do that again. The therapist didn't share a lot of details. Other words, my boy got the best of an adult. That's my BOY! I don't know what he did, but it was something the therapist wouldn't forget or let happen again. I think he gets that trait from me. I like to pull the wool over people's eyes whenever I get the chance. He's off to a great start.

She said that Gavin was really, really smart. He did alot for her including signing and saying several words. He impressed her. They both came out of the session with big smiles on their faces!
