| Adoption Update |
Our home study was good, but difficult. The guy who did it was here for about 2 hours. He walked around the house and seemed satisfied with that and talked alot about the danger of house fires. Then he took the rest of the time to ask us the most difficult questions he could think up. It was kind of like the bad cop routine in an old movie or tv show. I think he was trying to get a reaction from us. I know that he is doing his job and trying to find the best safest home for these kids, but it was draining to go through. I feel like we did a good job answering his questions though. He told us that he would have to come back one more time before he turned in his report. Apparently, he is required to make two trips to the house. I wish someone had told us that before. The next visit will be an unexpected one. He will just drop by some evening when he is in the area. I think that will be okay and it should be a shorter visit. He asked most of his questions last night, but will probably have a few more next time.
I am glad that this step is over and hopefully we can get the next one out of the way soon. |
