| A List of Things... |
??Where Do I Start??
As always time is flying by, some of it stands out in our memories. Some of it is gone forever. I think for the most part we have made the most of our time. At least I know it seems that way.
1. We have finally turned in all our paperwork on the adoption. Now we are just waiting to have our homestudy. It feels good to have all that paperwork out of our hands. We have worked so hard and so frantically for so long it seems strange to just be back in the waiting game now though. We are so ready to have "Sissy" home with us.
2. Gavin has finished up school for the semester. Now he is in swim class at the YMCA. He wasn't so sure about getting in the pool at first, but now he loves it. This weekend, he got to go swimming with Grandad and Daddy and had no problem just jumping right in with them.
3. Darren is doing really well in school. He is getting wonderful grades even if he does tend to procrastinate. His current class is Business Communications and he loves it.
4. The HopeKeepers support group is off the ground and running. I really feel like God is blessing it. I am eagerly looking forward to our meeting this week.
5. This weekend was spent in Texarkana with Grammie and Grandad for Mother's Day. We had a great time with them, but came home very tired.
6. Sunday night when we got home, Brandi had a Mother's Day Party for us. (Which meant I didn't have to cook!!!!!!!!!!!!) She had all sorts of fun party foods and dips. It was great.
7. Finally, here is to all the things I left out. I know there are bound to be plenty since it has been awhile since we last checked in.
You will have to ask Darren about his brakes. I think he is planning a post about it soon including a picture of pieces of the brake picked up out of the driveway.
P.S. Gavin is now a little confused. He has not only learned to call the Hogs (Arkansas), but now he can call the Horns (Texas). He delights in calling whichever one you don't ask him to say. |
