Well, I just can't seem to keep up with all that has been going on lately. We have been doing really good. We are enjoying spending time as a family. This first picture is of Gavin and Darren taking it easy on the couch. That doesn't happen nearly often enough, but life is still really good.
Last week, Gavin and I had the chance to take care of Lexie. Gavin loved taking Lexie for walks and playing fetch with her.

On May 20, Dalena and Daniel invited us to go to Wild River Country with them. We had a great time playing in the water. Gavin has gained so much confidence since he started swimming lessons at the YMCA.

This Saturday, Darren, Gavin, Brandi, and I went to Toltec Mounds State Park. Gavin loved getting to ride the train (actually a tram, but don't tell him!).
Our tour started on the train and then we got the chance to walk out on the boardwalk. We loved that, but Gavin was nervous that the train would leave without us. As we walked along we got a lakeside veiw of the largest mound.
In the water just behind Darren, Brandi, and Gavin there was a huge cottonmouth (for those who don't know its a snake). >
Out on the dock was a replica of a canoe. We had fun climbing into it, but the most fun of all was the turtle food, which made all the turtles come swimming just as fast as they could. Gavin loved throwing the food out to the turtles. This is definitely a destination we will have to head to again someday soon.

After being out in the hot sun we decided that it was time for ice cream. Gavin chose Blue Rasberry Sherbert. You can definitely see how much he enjoyed it.

Gavin decided it was time for him to take some pictures when we got home. This is his picture of Brandi.
After that Gavin's friends came over and he ran outside to get wet in the water hose.
And lastly, here is a shot of my hair for those who have been asking.
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
Love ya!
