Let Gavin be the first one to welcome you to the creek inside the Church at Rock Creek. I'm not sure what the real rock creek looks like, but I doubt it's as splendid as this creek. Gavin is standing in front of a waterfall flowing down into the church's creek. It's not only a beautiful spot. It will serve as our baptism pool. Gavin is standing on a wooden platform. Underneath, is the tub deep enough to baptize people. Gavin and Heather went to the church yesterday to look around and play. Gavin got to spend some one on one time with the new playground. He and Heather went up and down and around and had all kinds of fun. I forgot to mention. Heather invited me to join them for lunch. I met them at the church and watched Gavin for a little bit. Then, I had enough of watching. I had to get in the playground myself. (Work clothes and all).
There's a place about half-way up that Gavin was a little nervous about. There's a "rope" bridge. It has sections in the middle to walk on. Gavin's first attempt to go across didn't go well. With the help of mommy, he got more confident in his abilities. When I got there, Gavin led me across like he was an old master explorer. This playground is so much fun! I will recommend all kids big and tall to journey through the maze of fun. There are things to climb on, swing on, go over and through, and of course slide down. There are three slides. There's one that's half a story tall. There's one that's one story tall. The last one is a two story spiral of wicked fun! When you're in the playground, Murphy's Law applies. Whatever goes up must come down. Gavin and I chose to go down the two story slide. It looks deceiving. It's a lot faster than you would think. With all the curves, I felt like water going down a drain. Wicked! Wicked! Wicked! This is more fun than flying through the Death Star! It's more fun than pulling arms off of droids. It's more fun than running through the grass on Naboo. I'm telling you. I love it. This playground is Gavin tested and Daddy approved! If you still don't believe how much fun I had, you need to check out the picture below. Just imagine how big a smile Gavin had.

There's just one problem with this being new. It's still dusty from the construction. I found out that by wearing khaki pants you'll get traces of blue dust on your bottom side. It's a good thing a was going to stay at my desk for the rest of the afternoon. Get 'cha some! |
Aw Dude!
That's awesome. Maybe we can meet for lunch sometime and play in the maze O'tubes. Wouldn't that look wierd.
"Uh...excuse me Sirs. Where's your kids?"
"Kids are at home/daycare. We're having a blast. Weeeeeee!"
