Life at .5 past light speed.
--"Go strap yourself in, I'm going to make the jump to light speed." --Han Solo

Have you ever felt like your life goes point five beyond light speed? Do you ever have days where you just start out strolling through a Forest and next thing you know you are running away from a droid army? Life is unpredictable. Life can go from slow and boring to fast and crazy before you know it. That's what happened to me yesterday.

Yesterday started out as normal a Monday could. I did my work, I played, and I wanted ice cream. (It's awful to go through a day a craving something.) I looked busy. Around 3pm I got a call from someone who works at John Brown University. I'm thinking about returning to school to get a BS in Business Information Systems. I thought I could take my time and ease back into college life. It's like what Lando wanted to do when escaping Cloud City. He wanted to ease into hyperdrive. No problem, right? His plans were sabotaged. Just like mine were about to be. The representative said my application for admissions was in order except for not having College Algebra. I knew that. I told him I was going to take College Algebra in the summer before the next terms started. (Now comes the kidney shot) "This program is only offered once a year, and classes started last Thursday," said Mr. JBU. (Oh, I have a bad feeling about this) Everyone pause... think of all the words going through your mind right about now. What you're thinking is what went through my head and then some. Before I entered my panic room, Mr. JBU had a thought. "We have to get you approved by the special circumstance committee." (Why is everything a committee?) He told me what I needed to do. I had to write a letter, get references, and send student aid information to JBU. Oh by the way, you need to go to class this Thursday night. If not, you wouldn't be able to stay in the program. RD has just fixed the hyperdrive and the ship just lurched into light speed. So much for me easing back into school.

The Business Information System program at John Brown University is a neat program. I'll take one class a week for 6 weeks. I'll have a week off, and then start another class. I'll take 3 classes in a term period. It's going to be on Thursdays from 6 to 10. Another cool thing is I get a laptop computer with all the programs and software I will need for this program.

This came on so quickly. Please pray for me and help encourage me. I've been known to delay anything that requires studying. I have to do good. I want to be able to finally get my degree at the end of this year and a half period.

So, is it fast enough for you, old man? I think so. I think so...

Wow. Looks like you're gonna be busy. "Don't worry...She'll hold together. (c'mon baby hold together)."
I'll definately be praying for you. Jenn started class on Monday to get her Realtor's Licence.

Everybody's going to school again. Did we forget how tough it is?

    Good Luck.
