Daddy and Gavin
Let me tell what is priceless. The laughter of your son. Your son running up to you and throwing his arms around your legs just to hug you. Time spent with just you and your son at a park. It's all priceless. No one can put a price tag on any of that.

Saturday, Gavin and I dropped mommie off at church because she wanted to do a Saturday of Serving. While she did that, the boys went to the park. Not any park would do on this beautiful day. I told Gavin to be patient with me for a few minutes and we were off to Pinnacle Park.

The wind was slightly chilly, but with jackets in hand it did not deter us. Gavin wasn't quite sure of the park. It was new. He and I slowly walked over to the playground. New or not, Gavin knew what a playground was. He let go and started having the time of his life. There's no telling how many times he and I went up and down and all around that playground. I felt like a kid again. I would make the wooden bridge shake something awful. Gavin would just stop and give a big belly laugh. (I think he wants to be the next Santa Claus). I can't get over how much trust Gavin puts in me. I was on the ground and Gavin was on the equipment. He was standing on a platform where you would get on the horizontal bars and swing like a monkey. Well, there were no steps nor handholds at the spot. It was about 4 feet off the ground. Gavin sat down and scooted himself like he was going to a step. He had no fear because his daddy was letting him slide off knowing full well daddy would not let him get hurt. I did not lift him down. I just in a position to slow him down at the right time. Once Gavin got down, he looked up at me with a twinkle in his eye. He knew his dad came through for him once again.

We did a lot of things at the park. I'm so glad. I wouldn't trade these experiences for nothing in the world.

Awesome. It's good for the guys to have some time to themselves...but not too much, cause then we tend to get into trouble.

Enjoy it Darren...them jokers grow up quick. I think me and Xander are gonna hang this weekend.
maybe i'll teach'm how to grunt...and holler at the Ref during the game.
